KINGSTON, Jamaica - Usain Bolt was the guest of honour at Manchester United's Premier League encounter with Fulham at Old Trafford this morning.
According to BBC reports the six-time Olympic gold medallist charmed the crowd taking the spotlight away from Robin van Persie, the former Arsenal player who scored his first goal for ManU today.
Bolt has often said he is a long-standing fan of ManU and even suggested that he wants to play for the club.
Fans today chanted “sign him up, Fergie, Fergie, sign him up” as Bolt was introduced on the Old Trafford pitch, the BBC said.
The world’s fastest man was presented with a special United shirt, emblazoned 9.63, his clocking over 100m at the London Games. Robin van Persie also had his moment, handed a first start and a goal, following his summer move from Arsenal.
