England captain and Manchester United hero Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen are celebrating after announcing they are expecting their second child.
Mrs Wazza made the announcement on Twitter, revealing that their baby is due in May – the couple already have a two-year-old son Kai.
The couple have been under fire from rumours and speculation that they are expecting, and Coleen was relieved to finally be able to let everyone know.
She tweeted: "A few people guessed, so news is out ha!! Me Wayne and Kai are thrilled that we are expecting a new addition to our family around May time x.
"It’s still only early but bursting with excitement! Also wanted the news to come from us, before anyone else!"
The childhood sweethearts have not been without their problems but the England talisman claimed that becoming a father was the ‘proudest moment’ of his life.
A spokesman for the couple said: "Wayne, Coleen and their families are thrilled and delighted that Coleen is expecting their second child.
"They wanted to share the great news on their popular social networking sites and that is why Coleen tweeted the news ahead of any speculation.
"Everyone is thrilled for them."
